About Me

Hey, I’m Max Hamra, the founder of Pioneer Gains.

I have always loved sports, fitness, and being outdoors. That passion led me into a physically demanding career as a carpenter, where staying fit while working full-time was a fun challenge.

After finishing my apprenticeship, I decided to take a break from carpentry and focus more on my training, something I’ve always been truly passionate about. During that time off, I pushed harder than ever, lifting, running, swimming, cycling, and learning everything I could about strength, endurance, and recovery.

I had already planned a trip overseas, which turned into an adventure filled with lots of hiking and exploring the UK. It was a great test of staying fit and healthy while travelling on a budget.

Those experiences reinforced how much I love this lifestyle of being fit and active. I knew that I wanted to stay fit and capable for the rest of my life. So, why not also help others achieve the same long-term success?

After looking into different online opportunities, I realised that most fitness advice online was either misleading, overly complicated, or just unrealistic. That’s why I built Pioneer Gains, to share real, practical strategies that work. So here we are.
